Mobberley Refurbishment

Our team expertly managed the complete refurbishment of an 8×4 meter concrete tiled swimming pool, pool hall, and the installation of a new soft sauna. This indoor swimming pool project was meticulously handled from the initial design phase to final completion, ensuring a high-end finish delivered on time and within budget. Collaboration with our clients and our partners at Porcelanosa was key to creating a design that maximised space, light, and met the clients’ desires.

We stripped back the existing interior to expose the building’s fabric, removing the old ceiling, plant room, and tiles from both the pool shell and the pool hall.

We upgraded and replaced existing pipework and plant equipment to enhance performance and efficiency. The advanced Daisy+ filtration system was installed for crystal clear water with ultra-low chlorine levels, ensuring reduced running costs and ease of maintenance.

The pool is expertly tiled by our skilled tilers in a deep blue glass mosaic with an iridescent sheen. This surface reflects the light, resulting in a myriad of colours and making the water look incredibly inviting. A sloped skylight features as a showpiece in the design, allowing views of the beautiful countryside and creating an elegant and bright atmosphere in the pool hall.

Our clients selected light colours for the pool hall walls, incorporating split face quartzite to frame the skylight window. The adjacent walls are adorned with large-profile marble effect tiles, enhanced by recessed lighting that creates depth and contrast. The lighting scheme also includes a spotless LED strip, providing a clean and consistent output throughout the pool hall. The ceiling features a white Barrisol stretch ceiling by Imperial, which adds a clean, sleek and modern look.

The Tylo sauna was clad in Thermo Aspen panelling with Thermo Elder benches, providing a natural, calm, and relaxing environment. We opted for the Tylo Combi version, which combines traditional sauna and steam for a comfortable soft sauna experience, achieving a 25% energy saving compared to regular saunas. Infrared panels were incorporated within the sauna for a deep, penetrating heat that offers a range of health benefits.
